Too soon for pole: Pregnancies are logged by last menstrual periods for dating purposes which includes a 2 week period at the beginning when conception has not yet occurred. Therefore the 2 week discrepancy between 6 versus 8 weeks. The fetal pole has not yet had time to develop for that reason so be patient and give the tincture of time to allow that to happen if it is a viable pregnancy.
