Yes, but normally: Progressive. It does not normally just acutely jump up unless you pinched a nerve. Back pain can develop progressively with scoliosis as the angle changes. If the pain jumped up unexpectedly, then best to be seen by your physician who monitors your scoliosis to see if there is anything that happened to cause this abrupt increase in pain.
