Exercise: Straight weight lifting , an isometric strain, does very little for cardiovascular health and tends to raise blood pressure more than isotonic exercises which are more aerobic. Include lighter weights with more reps which would be more aerobic. Walking, running, swimming and cycling are excellent aerobic exercises.
