How good does your eye vision have to be to in order to become a retinal eye surgeon?

Very good: Retinal surgeons have to identify tiny differences in pathology on the back of the eye which requires excellent acuity as well as normal stereoacuity. So a retinal surgeon with poor vision, even in one eye, could not surgically function safely.
