I have a dark spot in my vision, what could this be? the optometrist that i saw said that my eyes looked good, no retinal detachment or eye diseases

Floaters: If your eye exam is normal and it moves within your vision it is probably a floater. These are benign pieces of protein in the vitreous humor of the eye that casts a shadow on the retina. These have a tendency to move in and out of the visual field.
