GERD: Gerd=acid reflux brings stomach acids up to the mouth, where the acids can erode enamel. The enamel is protecting teeth from the wear, tear and also guards teeth against the erosion. I suspect that you have a tooth problem that needs to be addressed. Rec.: see your dentist for examination and x-rays.

Probably not: Probably not. Dental erosion from GERD not usually initially painful. Best bet is to see dentist to determine cause of pain. More likely cavity or cavities.
