Can only guess. Maybe insufficient PPI (Protonix, Prevacid, Aciphex, etc, etc), maybe Barrett’s esophagus (pre-malignant), maybe esophageal ulcer, maybe. maybe, maybe. Need to see gastroenterologist and (probably) have repeat EGD.

Gravity never sleeps. Thus when u lay flat acid from your stomach can easily flow up to your esophagus and HEART BURN!! This may be made worse by fat belly pushing fluid as well. Go to uptodate.com and read more. Put 8 inch blocks under the head of the bed so when you sleep GER may not occur because esophagus is higher than acid. That is you overcome gravity as well on pressure on ur stomach
