Depends: H pylori has a range of symptoms, from none at all, to abdominal pain, to severe bleeding from stomach/intestinal ulcers. H pylori is also linked to the development of certain kinds of gastric cancer and is considered a carcinogenic infection. Depending on where it infects the stomach, it can cause increased gastric acid levels, leading to acid reflux. In other cases it can protect against reflux!
