Case specific: There is no set age or time that orthodontic treatment should be initiated. It depends on so many factors, and since every child is different, it is up to your local orthodontist to make that determination. Find one you trust and follow their advice.

All Depends: The aao recommends an initial orthodontic evaluation as early as 7 years of age. This initial evaluation is used as a baseline for developing dentitions. When an orthodontist believes intervention (treatment) is necessary, he/she will recommend beging treatment. If concerned, get a 2nd opinion.

7 or 8: for a first consult according to the AAO. but that does not mean treatment starts then, just that they should be seem. Starting treatment will vary greatly based on the case from 7 to never. only by seeing an orthodontist can you know what's right for you or your kid
