How does gastrodin help me feel less anxious?

Anxiolytic: Gastrodin is the major component of tian ma, a chinese herbal medicine that appears to have an anxiolytic effect. The mechanism of this is not well understood. Gastrodin is not approved by the fda or available as a prescription medication in the us.
