Dental Implants: There are a number of companies that have been around for a long time. These include nobelpharma and 3i, among others. Implants are made of titanium. The concern is not only the implants, but the prosthetic components. An implant company that has proprietary components and goes out of business makes it hard to replace or repair broken bridgework, rendering the implant useless in the long run.

Dental Implants: There are a number of popular dental implant systems out there. Personally the periodontist who places the implants for me and i as the restorative dentist use noble biocare about 99% of the time. They are made of titanium. I truly believe that you need to find the best surgeon and restorative dentist you can and have them work as a team to restore you mouth as they see fit (regarding systems).

Titanium: Medical grade titanium. Nobel biocare, zimmer, straumann, biomet3i --all well known and used. I have used them all, but prefer nobel and biomet. Most important to find the right prosthodontist and surgeon-team treatment. At our implant center we do it all under one roof. Oral surgeon, prosthodontist, and our own laboratory that only does our work. The absolute best delivery system if you can find.

All FDA approved OK!: This question would have been better answered 20 years ago when titanium based implants all "worked" but the systems that attached the implant to the functioning crown hadn't been standardized and some proved to be much better than others. Today, when most attachment "mechanisms" have been standardized it's more about esthics . Whatever works best in your doctors hands is your implant of choice!

Implants: There are well over 100 manufacturers at this point, notable ones have been mentioned by previous respondents already. Looking at your medical condition, you and your dentist should formulate a full treatment plan first that best fits your dental need. Some offices do it all under one roof, others refer to specialists for the surgery, both yield excellent results.
