Mixed issues: A 6 mo can actually touch and hold his/her ears as a skill not present until about 4 months, but not necessarily meaning anything. They also develop some separation anxiety if they realize they are alone, between 6-9 mo. Kids also fuss for indigestion or minor ailments, wanting parents to "fix" everything. If the kid is thriving otherwise and the ears are clear, just monitor the situation.
