Mirtazipine: Mirtazipine, in general, is a very safe anti-depressant. Some people do, however, notice weight gain when they are on this common and effective medication.

No long term concern: So far, there are no specific risks to health as a result of long term use. There are some serious side effects, but they are usually experienced early not due to accumulation. So, do keep your prescribing doctor up to date on how you are doing with this medication so proper decisions can be made, but if it is helping you, you're okay. Don't make changes on your own without medical support. Best!
