See hand specialist: Management of a tfcc tear depends on several things - including how old the injury is, how symptomatic you are, and whether there is any instability at the level of the wrist associated with injury. A hand specialist would be able to advise you once they perform an examination.

TFCC tears come in: A variety of configurations. Mri is accurate to a point but intraoperative findings do not always correlate with MRI findings. However for a central tear depending upon other bone anatomy such as the length of your ulna with respect to your radius and the configuartion of your carpus and its ligaments different treatments are offered . Small tears may even do well without surgery. See hand surgeo.
