I have pain on the ulnar side of the wrist, close to the tfcc. mri shows only a bone contusion, no lig damage. the primary injury is 6mo old. what would contribute to contusion lasting this long?

Other causes of Pain: Physical exam is paramount, to determine the origin of the pain. It may be an error to assume, that the cause of the pain, has to be the bone contusion. Depending on the image resolution, partial ligamentous injuries may not be seen, on mri. Correlation with operative (arthroscopic) findings is between 50 to 75 %
