Microalbumin: The amount of Albumin in the urine can be an early sign of diabetic kidney disease. There are many ways to measure albumin. "microalbumin" refers to the measurement of small amounts. Your microalbumin should be less than 30 mg/day, or 20 mcg/min, or 30 mcg/mg creatinine. So the units on your test are critical.
