Doing well overall: Your blood work appears good and you have trace proteinuria which is common in diabetic kidney disease. Keep your diabetes and blood pressure in good control. You also will need to take lisinopril, losartan or something similar to prevent and delay kidney damage from diabetes.

My husband is diabetic. He had a random urine after a fast so was dehydrated. The urine creatinine was 390, albumin 39 so the ratio was normal at 10. Could being dehydrated have caused the high numbers? His plasma creatine and bun were normal?
