A member asked:

Are lexapro/celexa/viibryd the cleanest ssri's available..i.e the least interactions?

Especially: Celexa and lexapro. Viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) can interact with drugs that are metabolized through the cytochrome p450 3a4 enzyme system so a little bit more caution has to be taken with that and should be addressed with your psychiatrist.

Least side affects: Review of all ssri's reveal they all can cause dry mouth, nausea, and either drowsiness or difficulty sleeping. So if it makes you drowsy, take it at night , if it makes it difficult to sleep, take in day. Prozac= highest risk of suicide. The one that has the least overall side affects including not interfering with sexual function is celexa (citalopram). Everybody responds differently, start with this.
