Do dentists think every child/teenager need braces?

No: About half of all children would benefit from orthodontic care to produce the most functional, stable, mane esthetic occlusion. Make teeth look better, they work better, are easier ; less expensive to care for, and improve the patient's self image.

Of course not: But interestingly many of parents think their kids need it. . ...Which is more of fashion trend.. :).
