I was put on depakote. will ritalin (methylphenidate) make the tremors go away?

No.: Ritalin (methylphenidate) will likely not make the tremors from Depakote go away. In fact because Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a stimulant it may cause mild tremors as well in some people. You should see your doctor to discuss your symptoms, side effects and possible adjustment in your dose or change in your treatment regimen.

No: If tremors are interfering with your ability to function, ask your doctor for an alternative medication.
