Sleep: Usually, the most common cause of fatigue is sleep deprivation. Be sure you are getting enough sleep, be sure you dont snore or stop breathing at night, which is a sign of obstructive sleep apnea, which can cause fatigue. Thyroid problems can also cause fatigue as well as depression. Ritalin (methylphenidate) is not an appropriate treatment for undiagnosed fatigue.

Unsure: Ritalin (methylphenidate) is a way to manage your symptom of excessive tiredness, but it is not clear what your underlying problem is that caused your symptom. Perhaps the underlying cause hasn't resolved or been treated. There are too many possible causes of tiredness that need to be considered. Possibilities include depression, anemia, ... You may also have developed some tolerance to ritalin (methylphenidate). Talk to your doctor.
