A good idea: Although the risks are low, it might be good to get checked out by your physician. They can make sure that you are up to date on all of your vaccines and immunizations. They can check if you might have been exposed to anything based on the history of the person you were giving cpr.

Good for you!: Good for you for stepping up to help! if the person you helped has been diagnosed with HIV or hepatitis, there is a small chance you could be at risk. Speak to your doctor asap, because certain preventative therapies are available. Should you be in this situation again, it is ok to begin CPR without doing mouth-to-mouth breathing.
