Find a DDS: Although there are possible medical reasons, it would be important to be sure you are following a home care regimen that includes proper brushing and flossing. You should seek the help of a dentist so that any hardened plaque (called calculus) can be removed. The calculus will continue to irritate your gum tissue and can only be removed professionally by a dentist or hygienist.
