Post nasal drainage?: These symptoms of tasting blood and mucus when swallowing and bad breath can be caused by a viral infection of the throat (pharyngitis). They can also be caused by post-nasal drainage (PND). PND can be caused by allergies or an infection. Try OTC allergy meds like a steroid nose spray and an oral antihistamine. If not helping, see doc.

Halitosis: Bad breath can be caused by cavities, periodontitis, sinus issues, your diet, acid reflux, and tonsil stones to name a few. Please see your PCP and dentist for thorough exams and treatment.
