Organ failure: The cause of death is usually multiple organ failure. It usually is documented as "cardio- pulmonic arrest" which indicates the heart and lungs stopped. With advanced age, organs become weaker and eventually fail. Much can be down to slow this process, but as of today the aging process cannot be stopped.
