Lung infection: If you have a viral infection other than influenza, then hydration ; symptomatic support (analgesics) is the best we can do. If you have laryngitis (inflammation of 'voice box") resting your voice is not unreasonable. If you have high fevers, bloody/rusty sputum, are short of breath, ; especially if you are elderly, have diabetes, a history of lung/heart disease or are a smoker: call your doc!
