I've been coughing for 3 days. dry and non stop. my cough is making it hard to breathe and takes my breath away. i had a chest infection 3 weeks ago.

In view of the difficulty you are having breathing I suggest you go to an Urgent Care Center or Emergency Room immediately to be properly evaluated and treated.
