Varies: Depends on what dental work you had done... You did not elaborate. Please call your dentist, explain the situation, and see if they may have a suggestion... You may need some pain meds until the problem passes.

3-4 weeks: Dental work may irritate the nerve inside the tooth causing temporary sensitivity. Wait three to four weeks. If the pain persists or worsens, see your dentist for follow up appointment. .
