Lower teeth scaling: The more calculus (tarter) that had to be removed, the more sensitivity you can expect, especially if it has been a long time between scalings. The sensitivity should decrease over 7-10 days. It is important to follow the oral hygiene advice of your dentist and dental hygienist. The cleaner you keep your teeth, and the more often you get them cleaned, the less sensitivity you wiil have.
