Dental : Dental restorations, in general, can be expected to last ten to fifteen years. However, there are many restorations that last longer, and some that fail in less time. There are so many factors that affect their longevity, including proper home care, frequent professional hygiene visits, your occlusion, parafunctional habits (grinding), and diet. Veneers are made out of porcelain, which can fracture and also wear away. This can also occur on full coverage crowns. Find a dentist in your area that you trust and have a complete exam. In this way your bite can be analyzed and it will be explained to you if this treatment is the correct one for you.

Porcelain : Porcelain veneers are the most predictable periodontic, cosmetic dental procedure. When done by a quality practitioner, you can easily expect them to last for upwards of 10 years. Do not look for bargains. Most dentist who are serious about the work will be able to show you a portfolio of cases. Look closely at the results and concentrate on looking for clean, pink gums. The most important part of the the veneer is how it meets the tooth at the gum line. If the finish is it smooth and polished, you will be able to brush properly, and maintained of the veneers for a long time. Make sure to interview your dentist brought your to any work. Best if luck, dr. Zev kaufman.

Zirconia: Zirconia is a newer material that may be stronger; however if done properly any type of veneer may last up to 15 years or more.

Here we go...: To even out the teeth perhaps simply recontouring the teeth artistically is all that is needed. What a great option that can be. If the teeth require lengthening perhaps veneers are best. When properly done veneers can last over 15 years or more if maintained properly. I would seek the advice of a dentist with nice online reviews or who comes recommended by a trusted friend with veneers.
