At age 30?: If you're truly age 30, having a "school counselor" is not usual. In case this age is incorrect -- yes you should tell about your nightmares so you can receive help. If actually age 30, you can tell a psychologist or psychiatrist and receive help also. Nightmares can result from multiple causes, and it takes some discussion to clarify what's happening with you.
