Consider a referral : To an adolescent psychiatrist for medications known to help in ptsd to use as an adjunct to your therapy. Please tell your counselor about your continued physical ; emotional distress. If one of the types of therapy for ptsd - exposure therapy, relaxation training or eye movement desensitization ; reprocessing (emdr) has not worked, another may, in the hands of an expert therapist.

Communication : I would say just be open and honest about what happened with your partner. I realize this could bring up feelings of shame, but whatever happened to you was clearly not your fault. No one, and I mean absolutely no one deserves to be brutalized. Tell your partner everything, work hard in therapy, and monitor effectiveness of your medications.
