Clean, clean, clean: Food impaction caused by food get stuck in the bracket or wire will cause gum swollen. Tried to clean the area with proxy brush, tip of your toothbrush, water pik, etc... Check with your dentist if he or she can relocated the bracket or molar tube higher to help with food impaction. Bonding molar tub sometimes can be used in place of molar ring to avoid gingival reaction.
