In the middle of the night, 5 days ago, i woke up with my gum swollen in my left back side of my mouth. it seems that my very last bracket on my braces caused this. the swollen part is shaped like a molar but it is soft. what should my concerns be?

Irritation: You may have a long wire, a loose/displaced tube, or you may have a molar trying to erupt. Call either your General Dentist or your Specialist Orthodontist and have him/her take a look. it's probably an easily resolved problem. In the meantime keep area clean and dab Orabase-B onto the sore spot.
