See a periodontist a: It is very important you see a periodontist to evaluate your problem and SHOW you how to properly maintain effective oral hygiene. Every mouth and every problem is different they will get your gingivitis under control, before it does permanent dammage

Not normal: Swelling and bleeding, along with pain, are flags your body puts up to tell you there's something wrong. It may be that all you need to correct this is aggressive gentle flossing, but there's also a strong risk that there's more to it than simple gingivitis. Time to see a gum/bone specialist, a Periodontist, for the best possible care.
