A member asked:

Is mouth irritation normal from invisalign?

Oral irritation: You post a vague question. Mouth irritation can be caused by the invisalign tray rubbing against the lips or cheeks. The action of the aligner (moving teeth) can cause some discomfort. Make sure the aligner is removed when eating and brush and floss daily. Ask your dentist or orthodontist at your next appointment your question.

NO: Usually invisalign aligners do not cause mouth irritation. Ask your dentist to either polish the aligners, or provide you with dental wax to act as a cushion.

It can be: especially fore the first few days as your mouth and gums adjust. Over time any irritation tends to go away.

Irritation?: Soreness, yes. Rubbing, scratching, no. Please see your treating Dentist or (hopefully) Orthodontic Specialist to resolve your problem.
