wanted to know if i can chew gum with my springs in (braces)?

Not smart: Open a can. Lid doesn't completely come off. Have to wiggle it back and forth 'till breaks loose. Gum does same thing to your braces. Want to be in braces longer, run the risk of damage to your teeth, make more frequent trips to the orthodontist for repairs, have to taste the braces sealers all over again? If so, chew gum.

Yes, but: We do allow some less, sticky, sugarless gum to be chewed by our patients. Ask your orthodontist for guidelines.
