Yes: May be nickel allergy (very rare). More probably due to compromised oral hygiene, not removing the "bugs" that cause your gums to swell. See your qualified orthodontic specialist for advice as soon as possible to reverse this problem.

Very bad!: You might be getting cavities underneath ur swollen ums and you might not know it. U are dealing with a serious gum infection. Visit your regular dentist to get an awesome cleaning. they might have to cut your gum (some use Laser to do it). You on the other hand, haven't been doing ur job of keeping it clean. Brush way more and things will return to normal quickly. I say 12 mins a day or 4 songs.
