2 weeks after an ankle injury i was put on heparin in the hospital and my ankle swelled up. could the swelling help diagnose original ankle injury?

Ankle edema: Usually the ankle edema will take time to resolve usually 2-3 weeks. The reason that you was on Heparin is for thrombosis or clot formation. When in doubt an mri, will help to determine the extend of tendon or ligamentous injury. Best treatment is rice, rest icing, comprssion, and elevation.
