Dr. Souzan El-Eid

Souzan El-Eid, MD, FACS is a Breast Surgeon with Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) and Breast Center Director at Summerlin Hospital. Dr. El-Eid is board certified in General Surgery and Critical Care and has certifications from the American Society of Breast Surgeons in ultrasound and stereotactic breast biopsies. Dr. El-Eid is currently the co-chair of the Cancer Committee at Summerlin Hospital, chairs Hereditary monthly conference, and has served as Principal Investigator for several research studies. Dr. El-Eid is a member of numerous professional associations including the Clark County Medical Society, Nevada Oncology Society, Nevada State Medical Society, The Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons, American Medical Association and Community Clinical Oncology. She serves as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. El-Eid has received numerous awards including: “Top Breast Surgeon in Nevada “ by HealthTap, “Top Surgeon” by Consumers’ Research Council of America, “Top Doctors” by U.S. News & World Report and Castle Connolly, and received the 2012 Patients’ Choice Award, and “Most Compassionate Doctor” award. In 2006, she received the Cancer Liaison Physician, Outstanding Performance Award from the American College of Surgeons. She has coauthored numerous publications about breast cancer and breast diseases, and frequently gives presentations about breast cancer to the public and physicians. Prior to joining CCCN, Dr. El-Eid served as medical director of the Fern Feldman Anolick Breast Center at Benedictine Hospital and medical director of Women’s Health Center at Kingston Hospital in Kingston, New York. In 2009, she chaired and initiated tumor board conferences at St. Rose San Martin Hospital. Dr. El-Eid received her medical degree in 1990 from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her general surgery residency at Nassau University in Long Island, New York, and a surgical critical care fellowship at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
