Uncommon: It's unlikely to have side effects other than the pain of a needle going into your back. Uncommon side effects include bleeding, infection, and i've seen 2 people with punctured lungs from this. I don't believe i've ever seen anyone get these and actually have significant long term pain relief.

Many ....: Depending on the medication injected.... Pain, redness, infection and if steroids are used.... Hyperglycemia (elevated blood sugar) and even depression of your immune function... Hopefully, the number one effect will be the satisfactory treatment of your pain.
