It's way too early: Nerves are not like power lines that work as soon as they are reconnected. They must heal. After a nerve is repaired the fastest that it heals is 1mm/day from the repair site.

Only time will tell.: Traumatized nerves are tough to predict the outcome. All you can do is wait and see. Your symptoms are good in the fact that there is more than just numbness. The burning sensation shows there is some life to the nerve which is promising. Good luck!

Too soon to tell.: At this point in your surgical recovery, your body is going through a lot of healing. There will be discomfort from the procedue itself. Numbness and burning pain are both typical of nerve injury, even if that nerve has been repaired. Nerves heal very slowly. It is too soon to know how long you will have the discomfort, but likely these feelings are not permanent.
