my doctor told me i had bacterial vaginosis she gave me an antibiotic that i had to take every 12 hours when i went back i still had it. i'm confused?

Bacterial vaginosis: Without knowing how you were treated and whether your sexual partner was simultaneously given an antibiotic topically on his penis the best thing to do is to discuss this with your doctor. Although not truly a std this can be given back to you by organisms resident on your partner's penis.
