Some basics: When you take an antibiotic it will kill off any germ susceptible to that antibiotic at the concentration achieved the way it is taken. If you are taking probiotics at the same time it will kill some of the "good" germs. Probiotics taken after completion of the antibiotic are more likely to survive. The need for or benefit from probiotics in this situation is controversial.
