Balanced diet: Sugary foods alone for breakfast, do not give you a balanced nutrition for the rest of the day. A small amount of protien, and fruit fiber will buffer the high sugar content foods and carbohydrates. Honey is different though as it is largely fructose anad other natural sugars and much better than foods with refined white sugar.

Not only breakfast: In the best of worlds you shouldn't eat sugary foods ever, but breakfast is probably the worst time to eat them as that tends to cause low blood sugar making you crave more sugar later. It's wise to start the day with good sources of protein.Fruit is the healthiest source for sweets. If you have protein then a small amount of sugar won't be as bad.See http://nyti.Ms/15xi2o8 ; http://bit.Ly/18v69cc.
