Had a complete hysterectomy done in 2009. been getting pap smears done yearly, never had any abnormal paps in the past. do i need to continue to do so?

The purpose: Of pap smear is to detect early stage of cervical cancer. If you have cervix even though the uterus is out , you need pap smear . If the total hysterectomy means including the cervix , there is not need for pap smear anymore.
