I read it's not the norm to have a pap done after total hysterectomy all is out. i have abnorm result (sil). why are there differences of opinions?

HPV : In your case the pap was warranted since you had an abnormal. Hpv can still effect the vagina. The next step is an evaluation of the vagina with a microscope called a colposcopy. The doctor will look for hpv affected areas and biopsy if needed.
