Not so simple...: No one can give you an answer to here with the limited information allowed. All surgeries, no matter how simple, carry risk. The best surgeon using the best techniques will still have complications. There's too much variation in anatomy ; how people heal. I would suggest you sit down with original surgeon ; new doctor and discuss case. Come across as wanting answers, not casting blame.

Depends: Depends on if the doctor did anything negligent during the surgery. Unfortunately, complications of surgery do occur and fistula can occur even if everything was done correctly.
