Is someone likely to get hip arthritis if they don't have a hip labral tear repaired surgically?

Unlikely: Femoracetabular impingement (fai) can lead to degenerative arthritis of the hip joint , as can other factors from childhood or adolescence( developmental hip dysplasia, slipped capital femoral epiphysis..). Isolated labral tears on their own generally cause pain , but without other anatomic factors, not deg. Arthritis of the hip.
