I have to have reconstructive hip surgery soon to repair a labrum tear, re build cartilage and remove an osteophyte. what does all this involve?

Arthroscopic surgery: Sounds as if they are planning to repair your torn labrum, remove bone spur and repair cartilage. This can be done thru several small incisions, outpatient taking a couple of hours . This allows the repairs to be done without dislocating the hip joint.
